GEO Contest Rules

Conditions of entry and how it works

Article 1 - Organisation

The company GreenRed, a simplified joint-stock company with share capital of 1,000 euros, registered with the Évry trade register, whose registered office is at 38 rue de la Paix, 91200 Athis-Mons, France (hereinafter "the Organiser"), is running a free prize contest with no purchase necessary, entitled "GEO Contest" (hereinafter "the Contest").

The Contest is available on the website www.greenred.fr/jeu-concours-geo/.

Article 2 - Conditions of entry

2.1 Eligibility

The Contest is open to any individual of legal age (18 and over) or legal entity, resident in mainland France or in a European Union member state, with internet access and a valid email address.

The following are excluded from the Contest:

2.2 Ownership of the entered site

The entrant must be the rightful owner of the website they enter into the Contest, or hold written authority to enter that site on behalf of its owner.

The Organiser reserves the right to ask any entrant, at any point during the Contest and without having to justify the request, for proof of ownership of the entered site. That proof may take the form of, among others, administrator access to the site, evidence of ownership of the domain name (registrar), or any other document conclusively establishing the link between the entrant and the site.

If the requested proof is not supplied within 5 working days of the request, or if the proof supplied proves insufficient or fraudulent, the Organiser reserves the right to exclude the entrant from the Contest, with no right of appeal and no compensation.

2.3 Entry

To take part, the entrant must:

  1. Complete the entry form on the Contest page
  2. Supply the following information: first name, surname, email address, the website concerned
  3. The "Company" field is optional

Limit: Each entrant may enter up to 3 websites maximum. Each site must be entered separately.

2.4 Free entry

Entry to the Contest is entirely free with no purchase necessary.

Article 3 - Duration of the Contest

The Contest runs over a period of 30 consecutive days.

Entries are accepted up to and including 15 March 2026.

Article 4 - How the Contest works

4.1 Principle

The Contest sets out to assess how visible entrants' websites are on generative artificial intelligence platforms (GEO - Generative Engine Optimization).

4.2 How it runs

  1. Day 1: GreenRed sends all entrants the 10 queries they have to rank on
  2. Days 1 to 30: Entrants work on their presence so as to be cited by AI
  3. Daily monitoring: GreenRed analyses the results every day and shares them with all entrants and online
  4. Day 30: A final survey is carried out to determine the definitive ranking

4.3 The 5 AI platforms queried

The queries are tested on the following 5 artificial intelligences:

4.4 Assessment criteria and counting method

The ranking is drawn up according to the total number of mentions of the entrant's website in the answers of the 5 AI platforms across all 10 queries.

How mentions are counted: Each mention of the entrant's website in an AI answer is counted individually, regardless of the number of queries. So:

  • If an AI's answer to a given query mentions the entrant's site 3 times (through 3 separate links or 3 citations, for example), that counts as 3 mentions.
  • If an AI's answer to another query mentions the entrant's site just once, that counts as 1 mention.

An entrant's final score is the sum of all the mentions recorded across the 5 AI platforms and the 10 queries in the survey taken on the last day of the Contest.

Eligibility for prizes and for the ranking: To be eligible for prizes and to appear in the final ranking, an entrant must have obtained at least 1 AI mention in total, across all AI platforms and all queries. An entrant who has obtained no mention may claim no prize and no place in the ranking.

In the event of a tied score, the following tie-breakers are applied, in order:

  1. The number of different AI platforms that cited the entrant
  2. The number of distinct queries that generated at least one mention
  3. The entry date (the entrant who entered earliest prevails)

Article 5 - Prizes
